Joey — Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Joey app (“Joey”, the “Service”), operated by Chew Hoa Shen (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using Joey, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Joey.

1. The Service

Joey lets you save links and organize them into collections. Your saved links and collections are stored locally on your device. Optional features include sign-in, cloud backup to your own Google Drive or iCloud, and a paid Pro subscription. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and forms part of these Terms.

2. Accounts

Sign-in (with Apple or Google) is optional and only required for cloud backup and Pro subscriptions. You are responsible for the security of the account you sign in with. You can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete account in the app, or as described on our account deletion page.

3. Subscriptions

• Joey Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription (monthly or yearly), purchased and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
• Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings; deleting the app or your account does not cancel it.
• Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may change; the store will notify you of changes as required. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies.
• If a subscription lapses, Pro features stop, but your saved data remains on your device.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to it, using it to infringe others' rights, or using it for unlawful purposes. The links you save point to third-party content; you are responsible for what you save, and we are not responsible for the content of third-party sites.

5. Your content

The links and collections you save are yours. We claim no ownership over them. Because they are stored on your device (and, if you enable backup, in your own Google Drive or iCloud), you are responsible for keeping backups; we are not liable for loss of data stored locally.

6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Joey is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

7. Termination

You may stop using Joey at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service (or online features of it) if you materially breach these Terms.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use Joey after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
